[everyone's gone out of the class now that the period is over. it's lunchtime, but makoto has done everything he could to stall. he's just about finished putting his books in his bag and hesitantly approaches the teacher's desk. the class had been on something or another about evolution and adaptation of plants and animals.]

[it's no secret that this is one of makoto's favourite classes. it's not that he's a super achiever in science or it's one of the things he wants to go to college for, but ... he's a curious kid, after all.]

<sub>[ Aikuro's been trying to balance out what bit of a social life he has here in Holly Heights along with his job at hand. Now that he's done with his ... evening job that he was involved in this month, he's putting his primary focus on school. They haven't even gotten to any of the fun stuff yet. The curriculum here isn't as advanced as Aikuro might have wanted it to be, so it's kind of been hard for him to take the things he wants the kids to learn from his own head and put it into book material.

As for himself in class, he is a very relaxed teacher. Every morning he has a cup of coffee with him and has even been seen propping his feet on the desk while his students take little exams he's written up. They probably know that the little exams or pop quizzes he prepares for them are from his own mind; every once in awhile there will be some kind of joke question in there or something that may require drawing.

Makoto probably already knows he likes to think and teach outside of the box. It's something he never had a chance to do back home since he was posing as another person with a different personality. But here— his personality is seen through his teaching style.

Aikuro does seem to be in a bit of a hurry to go on break, hands fumbling around to pull his hair back into a little, messy ponytail before he gathers his things and turns to make an exit...

Although, he had not had time to wrap it due to being busy getting settled into his new living space. But, Rei saw just how nice Aikuro was on his birthday and he even got him something so beautiful, that Rei just had to return the favor, not really expecting anything else from Aikuro since his birthday was close to Christmas anyway. Even so, he got around to wrapping it beautifully and perfectly on Christmas Eve. Of course, after he was done wrapping, he hid it a while longer until he was sure that Aikuro was in his room, and he sneaked out to put it under the tree.

There's a card attached too, nothing as amazing as the card he received, but it's just as elegant.

[after she ate all of the chocolates in one sitting, milly brings over a package for aikuro. it's wrapped with green paper and a yellow ribbon, a post it note with a hastily written "thank you for the chocolates!" and a lipstick kiss on it attached to the gift. inside is a small container of lemon bars, a handwritten recipe for a cocktail called "Hot Teacher" (first step in making it: get as naked as possible), and a rather nice pen, as all teachers need one. there's also a letter inside that reads:]

Merry Christmas! I hope your holidays have been fantastic, and will continue to be so into the new year. I had no idea what to get you, so I did my best to make things that you'd like. If you need someone to make that drink for you, I know a pretty good bartender! ;)

<sub>[ Rei had known that he spent too much money for Christmas gifts and things for his room since he didn't have much in his funds left from that, but he had assumed that being dragged here unexpectedly and being still a teen who was relying on his parents that he would be given a small sum of money monthly. He was wrong, and once January came around, he realized that he needed to do something about this and work so that he would hopefully have money to do with as he pleased.

So, for the past few days, he was locked up in his room doing some thinking about how to manage his time between school, studying for school, and a part-time job. He had looked at potential locations via the map that Makoto gave him of the area to see what would be best for him to ask if the place was hiring. He was planning on asking Nagisa later that day if he knew any place that was hiring, considering that his friends knew that you had to work for your money here, and Rei felt ridiculous that he didn't know that already. But, before he would ask his friends, he wanted an adult's opinion, since he didn't want to be laughed at for not knowing that money didn't just appear for him and he knew that was a childish thought. So, why not ask Aikuro, since surely this guy wouldn't laugh at him! He was ready to finally talk to him about this, and even drew graphs and wrote bullet points about what he wanted to talk about getting a job, since Aikuro was old enough to know more about working than his friends anyway.

Rei had a neatly stacked set of papers in his hands, since he just finished drawing out a graph for himself and for Aikuro to look over, as he exited his room. He was expecting Aikuro to be in the living room and sure enough, he was. He didn't want to interrupt any kind of TV program that he was watching, so he stopped a bit of distance from the place that Aikuro was sitting. ]</sub>

Mikisugi-san, do you have a moment? I would like to discuss something with you, but if you're busy, it's alright.

<sub>[ Aikuro is, indeed, lounging on the couch. He's on his side, his hair tied in a small ponytail for an evening. Again, he's sporting the red robe he's been wearing. It is still debatable as to what was under it. With his positioning, half of the robe is slipped off without a care and he's sort of just, scratching at his stomach. Yeah, living the life.

When he took breaks from scheduling school arrangements, he took breaks. Plenty of them, and took them hard.
He's smoking; he usually didn't smoke inside, but there were those occasions where he did solemnly.

He seems to be watching.. some sort of soap opera, actually. His eyes seem disinterested, and his expression was empty. Really, Rei probably had never seen him this 'out of it' before.

He knew that one of his least favorite holidays was coming up, and he had to go out and buy presents for his friends, which he thought would just take maybe 30 minutes since he could just get a few things and leave. But no, it probably took him a very long time, standing on the Valentine's day isle trying to decide which plush Nagisa would like the best, and probably ended up getting both of whatever he was going to buy.

Needless to say, he had probably about 3-4 bags of things, plus a few bigger items that wouldn't fit in bags that he was carrying. Rei didn't mean to go overboard, he really didn't, but he did this all the time when he went shopping for Nagisa for some reason that he wasn't quite sure of just yet. He actually didn't realize just how much he bought, but once he would lay it all out, he would probably question himself a bit since he did not enjoy this holiday, and he already was buying flowers from the school for his friends.

He was having a bit of trouble unlocking and opening the door to his own house, due to carrying so much, but at least he was certain that his friends would not see him carrying anything since he knew that they should all be busy. After messing with the lock a few times, he got the door open, and walked in the room, hoping that Aikuro was not in the living room or he would wonder why Rei was carrying so much that was clearly Valentine's gifts.

Sure enough, he was sitting in the living room. Great. ]</sub>
